Nebraska Gas Tax Overview

Nebraska’s state tax on gasoline is 32.7¢ a gallon and 32.4¢ on diesel, the rate in force since July 1, 2025 (diesel since October 1, 2026). That is the 23rd-highest state gasoline tax of the 50 states and DC. Reset every January 1 and July 1 from wholesale prices and highway funding needs.
