Idaho 529 State Tax Benefit (2026)
Deduction of up to $6,000 ($12,000 on a joint return), per return.
Out-of-state plans don't qualify. The IDeal plan says money rolled over into IDeal from another state's 529 is eligible for the deduction.
Contributions must be made during the tax year, and the $12,000 joint limit is per return. Deductions are added back for nonqualified withdrawals and for transfers from IDeal to another state's 529 or an ABLE account, limited to amounts deducted that year and the year before.
