Wyoming's county fee, charged in lieu of property tax, is 3% of a declining share of the factory price: 60% in year 1, then 50%, 40%, 30%, 20% and 15%. A flat $30 state fee is added.
Falls to $240 by the fifth year and to $187.50 from year 6 as the taxable share of the price drops.
A title costs $15; standard plates carry no separate fee.
Since July 1, 2026, Wyoming charges an annual decal fee of $100 for all-electric cars (down from $200) and $50 for plug-in hybrids; hybrids pay nothing extra. The fee is not indexed to inflation.
